About Us
Service and Dedication
The Three Mile Fire Department provides emergency Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens, and businesses of the Three Mile Fire District, and surrounding communities. Our members are trained in Structure, and Wildland Firefighting, Vehicle Rescue/Extrication, Emergency Medicine, Haz-Mat, Fire Prevention, and many other disciplines.
Pediatric Gold Provider
In March 2026, Three Mile Fire was recognized as a Gold level pediatric EMS service from the Emergency Medical Services for Children program through Montana Dept. of Public Health and Human Services. Only the third Fire Department in the State of Montana to achieve such recognition.
Burn Requests
Residents that would like to have Three Mile Fire Department assist them in burning brush, debris, fields, or other natural materials, can put in a request below. Please include your name, address, phone number, and brief description of the acreage, and materials that are to be burned. Open burning in Ravalli County must be open, and Residents must secure a burn permit, and have permit activated during burning. Permits are free, and can be obtained here: https://ravalli.us/501/Burning-Permits

All materials must be natural (brush, grass, tree limbs, etc.).

All burning must comply with county, and state burning ordinances and laws.

We respectfully request a minimum donation of $300 dollars for any burn services the Three Mile Fire Department provides.
